The national carrier of the Kingdom of Bahrain, Gulf Air, has announced the launch of three direct flights per week to London Gatwick Airport, starting from 30 March 2025. These flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, aiming to strengthen Gulf Air’s presence in the UK market.
Luxury Travel Experience with Boeing 787 Dreamliner
The new service will be operated with the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, featuring 26 seats in the Business Class cabin that convert into fully flat beds. This aircraft offers one of the region’s most spacious Business Class experiences, promising Gulf Air passengers a comfortable and luxurious journey.
Increasing Direct Travel Options to London
This expansion reflects the growing travel demand between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom, providing passengers with more direct flight options. The new flights will complement Gulf Air’s existing services to London, enhancing connectivity to destinations across the UK and beyond.
Strengthening Investment and Trade Links with Gulf Air
A Gulf Air spokesperson stated, “Our new route to London Gatwick Airport is a significant step in our vision to expand our route network and strengthen trade links between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. This new service will offer passengers more choice, contributing to the growth of trade and tourism opportunities between the two countries.”
New Flight Schedule and Booking Information
The new flights will depart from Bahrain International Airport (BAH) at 01:45, arriving at London Gatwick Airport (LGW) at 06:55 local time. The return flight will depart London Gatwick Airport at 11:25, landing at Bahrain International Airport at 20:00 local time.
