Ten-year-old Yağmur Su Kale, who lives in İzmir and gained attention on social media through her father’s cooking videos, shared her dream of becoming a pilot. Taking this dream a step further, she experienced her first-ever flight, thanks to an invitation from AJet.
Excitement of Her First Flight with Dreams of Being a Pilot
Inspired by the Turkish Stars’ performance on October 29, Republic Day, Yağmur Su dreamed of becoming a pilot. She joined AJet’s flight VF3065 from İzmir to Istanbul, accompanied by her father and sibling. Expressing her joy, Yağmur Su said, “Flying through the clouds and seeing the endless blue sky was magical.”
In-Flight Experience and Emotions
Yağmur Su described her first flight as an even more wonderful experience than she anticipated. Meeting the cabin crew and pilots, she had the chance to sit in the cockpit and explore her dream profession closely. She also expressed her intention to research more about airplanes and the pilot profession.
A Dream Filled with Hope for the Future
Pilot Talha Başaran spoke with Yağmur Su about the requirements of becoming a pilot. He commented, “The interest of future generations in aviation is very important to us. We believe she can achieve her dreams with proper education.”

Her father, İbrahim Kale, shared the family’s happiness about her first flight, saying, “Meeting the pilot and sitting in the cockpit was a big step toward her dreams. We are very happy for her.”

Landing at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Yağmur Su drew inspiration from the photo of Turkey’s first female pilot, Sabiha Gökçen. This memorable experience strengthened her passion for aviation even more.
