An incident at Dallas Fort Worth International Airport in Texas caused a huge stir on social media. A woman named Samantha Palma stripped completely naked at the airport, bit a person, and injured several staff members with a pen.
Allegedly Had a Manic Episode
According to aviation news, the incident occurred on March 14, and Palma was reportedly experiencing a “manic episode.” In videos shared on social media, she can be heard yelling at security officers and hurling insults.
Identifying herself as “Goddess Venus,” Palma injured a restaurant manager who tried to stop her by stabbing him in the head and face with a pen. She also bit his right forearm, causing bruising.
Acted Erratically in Front of Tourists
According to witnesses, Palma threw water into the air and danced, shocking tourists around her. When a woman tried to offer her a coat, she screamed and ran away, attempting to break a television screen.
Her rampage continued as she repeatedly threw her phone at a screen and smashed a monitor at the airport. She then hid behind an emergency exit door but was eventually apprehended by security forces.
Shocking Statements to the Police
According to the complaint report, police found Palma behind the emergency exit at Gate D1 in Terminal D, covered in blood belonging to others. Upon being detained, she told officers that she wanted to “be with flowers” and felt like she was “in a forest.” She also stated, “I’m going to heaven, I came from hell.”
Palma reportedly introduced herself to police as Disney princesses Ariel and Pocahontas and admitted that she was traveling with her 8-year-old daughter.
She also told authorities that she had arrived at the airport with her daughter in a car she had “manifested” herself. During interrogation, she admitted that she had not taken her medication that day but did not specify what type of medication she was prescribed.
Facing Aggravated Assault Charges
Initially placed under mental health observation, Samantha Palma is now facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
