Turkish Airlines (THY) and Galataport Istanbul, which features an underground cruise terminal, jointly participated in one of the most prestigious events in cruise tourism, the Miami Seatrade Cruise Global Fair.

At the fair, which brought together industry professionals from around the world, THY and Galataport Istanbul shared a booth to highlight Turkey’s rising position in cruise tourism. Through this strategic collaboration, Istanbul’s unique location, rich cultural heritage, and new tourism investments were showcased to global visitors.

Promoting Istanbul’s Power in Cruise Tourism

Attendees were informed about the unique experiences that Istanbul offers, along with Galataport’s technical capacity, passenger-friendly infrastructure, and sustainable port services. At the fair, THY introduced its integrated travel solutions for cruise passengers, leveraging its extensive flight network, to tourism professionals and investors in the American market.

Goal: Making Istanbul an Irreplaceable Cruise Destination

The joint participation of these two major brands aims to contribute to making Turkey a global cruise tourism hub. A key objective of this collaboration is to increase the number of cruise lines that include Istanbul in their routes and boost the number of passengers visiting the country.

New Services from the “Port of the Year” Award-Winning Galataport

Previously awarded the “Port of the Year” title, Galataport Istanbul drew attention at the fair with new digital passenger experience services like the “Port Pass,” which was introduced for the first time this year. Visitors were able to learn about Galataport’s technology-driven port services and its vision for sustainable tourism.
