GE Aerospace has announced the establishment of the GE Aerospace Foundation, making a significant commitment to train future engineers, enhance the workforce, and support disaster relief efforts.
The Foundation pledges $20 million to train future engineers, $2 million to enhance the workforce, and $2 million for disaster relief.
H. Lawrence Culp, Jr., Chairman and CEO of GE Aerospace, stated, “At GE Aerospace, we see supporting and empowering the communities in which we live and work as a serious responsibility. With the launch of the GE Aerospace Foundation, we will help transform local communities to develop a stronger workforce for the future.”
The Foundation’s programs will focus on workforce development, disaster relief, and increasing employee engagement and will represent more than $22 million in budgetary allocations by 2030.
Furthermore, the GE Aerospace Foundation has donated over $500,000 to help heal the wounds of earthquakes centered in Kahramanmaraş, Turkey.
Meghan Thurlow, President of the Foundation, remarked, “We are immensely proud of this new era of humanitarian support focused on building a stronger workforce, disaster relief, and increasing our employees’ charitable contributions in the future.”
