She revealed that the incident put her son’s life at risk and that a hospital documented the case as a “forensic event,” advising her to file a formal complaint.
“My Son’s Life Was in Danger”
Füsun Demirel detailed the horrifying experience that occurred on January 25 aboard Pegasus Airlines flight PC741, departing from Dubai and arriving at Istanbul’s Sabiha Gökçen Airport:
“This morning (25.01.25), on the 03:20 flight from Dubai to Sabiha Gökçen, my son got food poisoning after eating a chicken wrap purchased on the flight. The hospital classified the incident as a forensic case and advised us to lodge a complaint. Before escalating the matter legally, I wanted to make this public through social media.”
“Are You Selling Broken Chicken Sandwiches?”
In her strongly worded post, Demirel did not hold back her criticism of Pegasus Airlines, stating:
“Let me warn everyone: do not eat chicken sandwiches on Pegasus flights. Today, we are struggling with a severe health issue because of this. Pegasus, have you stooped so low as to feed people broken chicken sandwiches? You endangered my son’s life. I am filing a complaint against you!”
