A plane carrying Russian tourists from Egypt to Kaliningrad was forced to make an emergency landing in Poland due to heavy snowfall. AlMasria Airlines flight UJ681, en route from Sharm El-Sheikh to Khrabrovo, was diverted to Poznań Airport due to adverse weather conditions. The aircraft had to remain there for 13 hours.
Three Landing Attempts Made
The plane had 236 passengers on board, including children and pregnant women. One of the passengers told Klops magazine that the aircraft attempted to land at Khrabrovo Airport three times but was unsuccessful due to unfavorable weather conditions. As a result, the flight was initially redirected to Warsaw for refueling, but permission was denied, forcing the plane to land in Poznań instead.

Passengers Were Not Allowed to Disembark
Due to their lack of visas, passengers were not permitted to leave the aircraft. A Klops reporter stated that during the waiting period, passengers were provided with chicken pastries and beverages. However, by the morning of February 16, food supplies were running low, and passengers’ mobile phones were beginning to lose charge.
Technical and Organizational Issues Caused Further Delays
Speaking to Moscow 24, one of the passengers said, “Refueling was necessary, but Polish authorities refused due to an alleged paperwork error. We’ve been stuck on the plane since midnight, and they won’t let us out.”

Meanwhile, tourists in Kaliningrad waiting to fly to Egypt were also affected. Klops reported that 216 passengers had been stranded overnight at Khrabrovo Airport due to continuous flight delays. During the wait, food and water were provided to the passengers.
A Historic Flight Was Tracked
According to FlightRadar24 data, the Sharm El-Sheikh – Kaliningrad flight was followed in real-time by over 1,500 users. The ATOR Bulletin described this flight as “the first-ever passenger flight from Poznań to Khrabrovo.”
