Delays may occur in flights at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on the morning of Saturday, 19 April 2025, due to heavy fog, officials have announced.
In a statement from the airport operator, Airport Management and Aviation Industries Inc. (HEAŞ), passengers were urged to check their flight information, following a decision made during a meeting of the Meteorological Emergency Committee.
The announcement from HEAŞ read:
“Due to expected fog at Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport on 19.04.2025, delays may occur in morning flights. All passengers are advised to check the latest status of their flights via the relevant airline’s website or call centre.”
Officials noted that adverse weather conditions may impact air traffic and stressed that checking updated information before heading to the airport could help passengers avoid inconvenience.
