Flynas to Receive Over 100 Airbus Aircraft by 2030

Saudi Arabian low-cost airline Flynas has announced plans to receive more than 100 Airbus aircraft over the next five years. These deliveries are part of the airline’s major expansion strategy, aiming to grow its fleet to over 160 aircraft by the end of 2030.

With a massive order of 280 aircraft worth SAR 161 billion ($44 billion), Flynas is set to become the largest operator of single-aisle aircraft in the Middle East. This significant deal marks a milestone in the region’s aviation sector.

Flynas Receives Airbus A320neo

Flynas has taken delivery of the latest Airbus A320neo, bringing the total number of A320neo aircraft in its fleet to 54. This milestone was announced during a visit by Airbus senior management to Flynas’ headquarters in Riyadh.

Flynas’ Expansion Plans and Objectives

Flynas is accelerating its growth strategy under the slogan “Connecting the World to the Kingdom.” The airline’s goals align with Saudi Arabia’s ambitious plans to connect to 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and welcome 150 million tourists annually by 2030. Additionally, the airline aims to enhance access to the Two Holy Mosques through the Hajj Experience Program.

Strong Partnership and Strategic Relations with Airbus

Flynas CEO and Managing Director Bandar Al-Muhanna highlighted the importance of the airline’s long-term partnership with Airbus, emphasizing that the visit of Airbus executives to Riyadh supports Flynas’ contribution to Saudi Arabia’s national aviation goals.

Flynas’ collaboration with Airbus was strengthened in 2016 with an agreement to purchase 120 aircraft. Last year, the partnership reached a new milestone with an additional order of 160 Airbus aircraft.
