A direct air link is being established between Trabzon, a gem of the Black Sea region, and Tashkent, the heart of Central Asia. Uzbekistan-based private airline Centrum Air is set to launch direct reciprocal flights between Trabzon and Tashkent starting Saturday, 31 May.
As part of this new route, flights will operate regularly every Saturday. The journey, lasting approximately four hours, will offer passengers a non-stop and comfortable travel option between the two cities.
First Flight Departs from Tashkent on 31 May
The inaugural Centrum Air flight on the Tashkent–Trabzon route will depart from Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport at 16:00 local time on Saturday, 31 May. The aircraft is scheduled to land at Trabzon Airport at 18:05 Turkish time.
Later the same evening, the first Trabzon–Tashkent flight will take off from Trabzon Airport at 19:25 Turkish time.
New Opportunities for Tourism and Trade
The new flight route will not only facilitate tourism but also contribute to the development of commercial and cultural ties between Turkey and Uzbekistan. Given Trabzon’s export potential and Tashkent’s role as a regional trade hub, this new air bridge offers significant opportunities for both countries.
Centrum Air officials stated that if the new route receives high demand, additional flights on different days could be added to the schedule.
