In 2024, flydubai continued to make significant strides in product and service innovation. In January, the airline launched a multi-million-dollar fleet modernisation and refurbishment programme, aiming to fully upgrade the cabins of 25 Next-Generation Boeing 737 aircraft. Additionally, the airline introduced new business class check-in counters in October and opened a new business class lounge at Dubai International Airport Terminal 2 in December.

As of 31 December 2024, flydubai reported its highest-ever financial results in its 15-year history, with a pre-tax profit of AED 2.5 billion (USD 674 million).
