Flair Airlines Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Toronto Due to Bird Strike

On October 24, 2024, a serious incident occurred during Flair Airlines’ FLE641 flight from Toronto to Winnipeg when the aircraft experienced a bird strike. The Boeing 737 MAX 8, which took off from Toronto Pearson International Airport, reported a broken windshield in the cockpit shortly after departure due to the bird strike. Following this incident, the aircraft issued a PAN-PAN emergency alert as per safety procedures.

The flight crew noted that there was a pressurization issue following the bird strike and decided to return safely to Toronto. However, during the approach, the pilot experienced a loss of visibility due to the damage to the windshield and had to abort the landing on the runway. Despite this unexpected situation, the aircraft safely landed at Toronto Pearson Airport.
