AI2913 Aircraft Makes Safe Landing, All Passengers Evacuated
A fire was detected in the right engine of Air India flight AI2913 from Delhi to Indore shortly after takeoff. Thanks to the pilot’s swift action, the aircraft was safely landed at Delhi Airport, and all passengers were evacuated.
Air India’s cabin crew noticed signs of a fire in the right engine shortly after departure. Although there was panic among passengers, the pilot remained calm, shut down the engine, and contacted Delhi Air Traffic Control.
The aircraft was promptly directed back to Delhi Airport and landed safely. An Air India spokesperson stated that an alternative aircraft was immediately arranged to ensure passenger safety, allowing Indore-bound journeys to continue without disruption.
Aviation experts emphasize that the pilot’s quick decision-making and the coordinated efforts of the trained cabin crew prevented a potential disaster. All passengers were safely evacuated within minutes.
