F-16 Crashes in Poland: Pilot Killed, Air Show Cancelled

A tragic accident occurred during rehearsals for the Radom International Air Show in Poland. An F-16 fighter jet from the Polish Air Force’s Tiger Demo team crashed to the ground during the practice flight.

Following the crash, the aircraft burst into flames and the pilot lost his life. The runway at Radom Airport was rendered unusable, while the incident was recorded moment by moment by those nearby.

Government spokesperson Adam Szłapka confirmed the pilot’s death and announced that Polish Defence Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz had gone to the scene.

Polish media reported that, due to the tragedy, the Radom International Air Show scheduled for the weekend has been cancelled. The exact cause of the crash has not yet been determined.

Radom had previously witnessed a similar accident in 2007, when two pilots lost their lives.
