Mehmet Bekir Kıyan, an experienced pilot and Boeing 737 simulator instructor for Turkish Airlines, has passed away after battling an illness for some time.
Kıyan, who served as a simulator instructor in the Boeing 737 type department within the Turkish Airlines Flight Training Directorate, was a guide to the new generation of pilots with his years of experience. His sudden passing has deeply saddened the aviation community and all those who knew him, as he contributed to the training of numerous pilots throughout his career.
Mehmet Bekir Kıyan’s funeral will be held following the noon prayer at Ömer Duruk Mosque in Ataköy, 5th District. Kıyan, who will be remembered as a respected member of the Turkish Airlines community, has left a great void in the world of aviation.
