Taiwan-based EVA Air has placed an order with Airbus for six A350-1000 and three A321neo aircraft to strengthen its fleet. With the new orders, the airline’s total number of aircraft on order has increased to 42.
Through this new agreement with Airbus, EVA Air is adding a total of nine next-generation aircraft to its fleet. The firm order for six long-range A350-1000s and three narrow-body A321neos formalizes the airline’s purchase commitment announced in March 2025.
With these new acquisitions, EVA Air now has a total of 42 Airbus aircraft on order—24 A350-1000s and 18 A321neos. This move not only accelerates the airline’s efforts toward sustainable aviation but also plays a key role in its global network expansion plans.
EVA Air Chairman Clay Sun shared the following remarks regarding the new aircraft purchases:
“These next-generation aircraft being added to our fleet reinforce our commitment to sustainable aviation and our vision to provide passengers with an exceptional travel experience. The A350-1000 and A321neo are best-in-class in terms of both efficiency and comfort. With these investments, we aim to further strengthen our market position.”
Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, EVP Sales of Airbus Commercial Aircraft, commented on EVA Air’s decision:
“EVA Air’s choice of next-generation aircraft like the A350-1000 and A321neo is a clear sign of the confidence in these models’ performance on both intercontinental and regional routes. We are fully committed to supporting the integration of these aircraft into the fleet.”
