Captain Ramazan Ulucan, who has been a pilot at Turkish Airlines (THY) for over 40 years and contributed to the safe journeys of thousands of passengers, completed his final flight on Airbus A350, flight TK 961. This special flight from Istanbul Airport to Ercan Airport marked a heartfelt farewell to the skies for Ulucan.

A Memorable Surprise
THY Cyprus Manager Pınar Ayvaz Arıkan organised a surprise celebration onboard to honour Ramazan Ulucan. Emotional moments unfolded during the event, as Ulucan, with teary eyes, delivered a heartfelt speech.
“I’m struggling to speak. Time flies so quickly. I started my aviation career in 1977. Being remembered like this is truly wonderful. Thank you,” said Ulucan.

A Farewell Ceremony with Strong Attendance
Among those who accompanied Ramazan Ulucan on his final flight were THY Ercan Airport Station Chief Mustafa Taluğ, ground staff, T&T Airport Management officials, cabin crew, and his co-pilot.
The THY family wished Captain Ramazan Ulucan health and happiness in his retirement life.
