Emirates Opens Exclusive Lounge at Istanbul Airport

Dubai-based Emirates, one of the largest airlines in the Middle East, has signed a collaboration agreement with İGA to open an exclusive passenger lounge at Istanbul Airport, in response to increasing passenger demand. The lounge, expected to host 25,000 passengers annually, aims to offer a luxurious travel experience.

Agreement Signed

The signing ceremony, attended by Server Aydın, Deputy General Manager of Commerce at İGA Istanbul Airport, and Mehmet Gürkaynak, Emirates Airline Country Manager for Turkey, Bulgaria, and Romania, marks the official beginning of the partnership between the two brands.

995 m² Lounge Space

Designed and constructed by İGA, the 995 m² lounge will accommodate 180 seats at a time. Specially trained staff, in line with Emirates’ high service standards, will provide service in the lounge. The operation and management processes will be handled by İGA.

Premium Service Standards

Passengers will be offered a relaxing environment before their flights, along with an international menu aligned with Emirates’ global culinary standards. Food and beverage services will be provided by İGA. The lounge will also feature private rest areas and premium services to enhance passenger comfort.

10-Year Service Agreement

Server Aydın, Deputy General Manager of Commerce at İGA Istanbul Airport, stated: “This new space will symbolise the partnership of two leading companies. We aim to make travel experiences unforgettable by offering top-tier services to our passengers.”

Mohammed H Mattar, Emirates’ Senior Vice President of Airport Services, added: “We are very pleased with this collaboration with İGA Istanbul Airport. The lounge will offer passengers a flawless space to relax before their flights.”
