Due to ongoing unrest in the Middle East, Emirates has announced an extension of its suspension of flights to Iraq and Lebanon.
Iraq Flights Suspended Until December 14, 2024
In its statement, Emirates confirmed that flights to Baghdad would remain canceled until December 14, 2024. Passengers transiting through Dubai to Baghdad will also not be permitted to travel.
Flydubai Flights Continue
Unlike Emirates, flydubai is maintaining its Baghdad flights. Passengers with confirmed flydubai reservations can proceed with their travel, though regular updates on flight status are advised.
Lebanon Flights Suspended Until December 31, 2024
Flights to Beirut are also suspended until December 31, 2024. Passengers whose final destination is Beirut will not be allowed to transit through Dubai.
Advice for Affected Passengers
Emirates recommends affected passengers contact their travel agents or the airline directly. Customers can also update their contact details via the “Manage Your Booking” section on the Emirates website to stay informed about the latest updates.
