British airline easyJet has announced that it will cease flights from Manchester and Bristol airports to Paris Orly starting March 28. The company confirmed the decision via social media, stating that they would focus on more popular routes.
In the announcement, easyJet emphasized that flights to Paris would continue via the city’s main airport, Charles de Gaulle, instead of Orly. A spokesperson for the airline said, “Following route evaluations, we will no longer operate flights from Manchester and Bristol to Paris Orly as of March 28. However, we will continue to offer our passengers the most in-demand routes.”
The company stated that it would maintain daily flights from Bristol and Manchester to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. EasyJet currently operates flights to over 88 destinations in Europe and North Africa from Manchester and more than 80 destinations from Bristol.
The Manchester-Paris flight duration is approximately 1 hour and 32 minutes, while flights from London Heathrow to Paris take around 1 hour and 22 minutes. It was also noted that flights to France continue from London Stansted and London City airports.
Meanwhile, easyJet announced that it would launch twice-weekly flights from Southampton to Paris starting March 31. This will be the airline’s only flight to Paris Orly during the summer season.
