A tragic incident occurred on a Pegasus Airlines flight en route from Sabiha Gökçen to Gazipaşa. A five-months-pregnant passenger went into sudden premature labor, resulting in the baby’s loss. Due to the emergency, the plane had to return to Sabiha Gökçen Airport.

Support from Cabin Crew and Passengers

During the flight to Gazipaşa, the condition turned critical as a pregnant passenger began premature labor. The cabin crew and a doctor onboard immediately intervened. Unfortunately, despite all efforts, the prematurely born baby could not be saved.

Plane Returned to Airport in Emergency

Following the tragedy, the captain and crew prioritized the passenger’s health and diverted the flight back to the nearest airport, Sabiha Gökçen.

Pegasus Airlines issued an official statement, saying: “We are deeply saddened by this tragic incident. We extend our condolences to the family of the baby who lost their life. We remain focused on the health and well-being of our passenger and crew.”

Airline Emphasizes Ongoing Support

It was noted that the cabin crew and passengers displayed remarkable solidarity during the incident. Pegasus Airlines also emphasized that all necessary support would be provided to the passenger and its employees during this challenging time.
