Dubai Aerospace Enterprise and K2 Aviation Partnership: Transfer of 7 Aircraft Scheduled for 2025

Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) has announced a significant agreement with K2 Aviation, an investor specialising in aircraft with medium and end-of-life cycles. The agreement involves the sale of seven Airbus and Boeing aircraft, currently leased to six different airline clients. As part of the sales agreement, DAE will provide ongoing servicing for the sold aircraft and offer leasing and credit management, aircraft remarketing, disposal, and asset management services to K2 Aviation.

Firoz Tarapore, CEO of DAE, emphasised the importance of this collaboration, stating, “DAE has a strong and long-term relationship with the management team at K2 Aviation. We are excited to deepen our relationship with this transaction.”

Charles Graham, Chairman of K2 Aviation, said the deal represents a major step for the company, commenting, “This acquisition marks the launch of K2 Aviation, and we are gaining an excellent mix of medium-term assets leased to respected global airlines. We are also extending our valued relationship with DAE, with whom our team has worked for many years.” Graham added that they would continue to grow their medium-term asset portfolio throughout 2025.

DAE’s Aircraft Investment Services (AIS) group manages over 100 aircraft valued at 4 billion US dollars as an experienced aircraft asset manager, and also manages service agreements for corporate and financial investors. This deal is seen as an important step in strengthening the partnership between DAE and K2 Aviation.

The transfer of all the aircraft is expected to be completed in the first half of 2025, further advancing the collaboration between the two companies.
