Disaster Averted in Busan: Air Busan Plane Engulfed in Flames!

On Tuesday evening, a passenger plane preparing for takeoff at Gimhae International Airport in Busan, South Korea, caught fire, resulting in the evacuation of all onboard and minor injuries to three passengers.

Air Busan Aircraft Catches Fire

At 10:26 PM local time, an Air Busan aircraft preparing to depart from Busan to Hong Kong caught fire at the rear of the plane. Emergency slides were deployed, and all 169 passengers and seven crew members on board were evacuated. The fire quickly spread to the plane’s fuselage before firefighters arrived at the scene at 10:34 PM.

Injuries During Evacuation

Although initial reports suggested no injuries, officials later confirmed that three people sustained minor injuries during the evacuation. Fortunately, their conditions are not life-threatening.

A firefighter confirmed that the blaze originated in the plane’s tail section, stating:
“We believe all 176 people were safely evacuated, but we are conducting searches inside the aircraft as a precaution.”

Investigation Underway
