Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen International Airport (ISG) expands its European connections by adding Dublin as a new direct flight destination in partnership with Pegasus Airlines. Starting from October 30, the new Dublin flights open a gateway for connecting flights to North America.
Strengthening Sabiha Gökçen’s International Links with Dublin Flights
Sabiha Gökçen Airport, Turkey’s second busiest and Europe’s ninth busiest airport, strengthens Istanbul’s global connections with the addition of five new international routes in October. Pegasus Airlines will offer two weekly direct flights to Dublin on Wednesdays and Saturdays, providing easy access to Ireland.
Cultural Heritage and Tourist Attractions: The Appeal of Dublin
As a UNESCO “City of Literature,” Dublin is a major draw for literature and culture enthusiasts. The city, home to world-renowned writers such as James Joyce, Oscar Wilde, and Samuel Beckett, attracts cultural travelers with year-round literary events and festivals. With its vast green spaces and welcoming locals, Dublin offers a unique destination that combines nature and culture.
Easy Access to North America
The Dublin flights offer great advantages not only for those looking to explore Ireland but also for travelers heading to North America. Thanks to Dublin’s strong connecting flights, it is now easier to travel to popular North American cities such as New York, Boston, Chicago, and Toronto via Pegasus.
Boosting International Connections: New Route Announcement
In his statement on the launch of the Dublin route, ISG CEO Alp Er Tunga Ersoy said, “With the five new international routes we opened in October, we are strengthening Istanbul’s connections to the world. We believe the new Dublin route will enhance our ties with Ireland and facilitate access to North American cities, contributing to trade and tourism. As ISG, we connect Istanbul with 140 destinations in 51 countries, including 38 domestic and 102 international routes. We hope our new route will be beneficial for our country and all our guests.”
