Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport, operated by TAV Airports, welcomed the first scheduled flight of Copenhagen Air Taxi from Billund, Denmark, with a festive ceremony. The CAT671 flight, operated with a B737-800 aircraft carrying 174 passengers, turned into an unforgettable experience for travellers who were greeted with flowers at the terminal.
Copenhagen Air Taxi has made a strong start to the 2025 summer season and will begin flights from Copenhagen at the end of May. Until 2 July, flights will operate every Saturday, and from 2 July to 6 August, there will be two flights per week on Wednesdays and Saturdays. The service is planned to continue until 18 October, with a total of 102 flights scheduled during this period.
Commenting on the development, TAV Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport Director Ali Özgür Pehlivan highlighted the significance of the new route for regional tourism, stating:
“We are delighted to welcome Copenhagen Air Taxi to our airport. This cooperation contributes both to our goal of promoting the region to more travellers and to our vision of offering more travel alternatives to our passengers. Together with our entire team, we will continue working with determination to ensure the successful operation of this new route and to provide the best travel experience for our guests.”
Gazipaşa-Alanya Airport served a total of 1,051,608 passengers in 2024. For the 2025 summer season, flights are planned to 21 international destinations in 14 countries via 14 airlines. In the first quarter of 2025, the airport hosted 114,221 passengers, underlining its important role in the region’s international transport network.
