Continuing to strengthen its European connections, Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (ISG) has launched direct flights to the Austrian city of Graz in partnership with Pegasus Airlines. The new route will link the two cities with three weekly flights to one of Europe’s key tourism and business hubs.

Three Weekly Flights to Graz by Pegasus
Pegasus Airlines will operate three weekly flights to Graz (GRZ)—its second destination in Austria after Vienna—on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The inaugural flight took place on 30 May 2025. Passengers departing on the first Graz-bound flight from Sabiha Gökçen were treated to a festive celebration at the terminal.

Colourful Terminal Event with an Austrian Theme
Ahead of the first flight, a themed photo area decorated with traditional Austrian attire drew the attention of passengers. Guests were served chocolates during a special event held at the gate, adding a celebratory air before take-off. Representatives from both Pegasus Airlines and ISG attended the ceremony.

Sabiha Gökçen Offers Access to Key European Destinations
Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport, currently the eighth busiest airport in Europe in terms of passenger traffic, continues to expand its international network through connections to various European cities. The Graz route will enhance Pegasus’ reach in the European market while also strengthening cultural and commercial ties between Turkey and Austria.

Graz: A Meeting Point of History, Culture and Nature
Graz, the capital of Austria’s Styria region, is renowned for its historic city centre (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), baroque architecture, art galleries, and natural beauty. It attracts significant interest for both business trips and leisure travel. Thanks to this new route, Turkish travellers will have easier access to explore all that Graz has to offer.
