Delta Air Lines flight DL95, scheduled to depart from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) to Detroit yesterday morning, was cancelled following an incident on the runway. The flight, which was supposed to take off from Paris CDG at 7:20 AM, did not depart after a three-hour delay.

The incident occurred as the Airbus A330-300 (registered as N806NW) was preparing for takeoff on runway 26R. During takeoff, the pilots detected a possible bird strike and aborted the takeoff. Firefighters quickly responded to the aircraft due to the left engine catching fire. The plane remained on the runway for an hour and a half.

Delta Air Lines announced that the flight was cancelled due to a mechanical issue and apologized to the passengers for the inconvenience. The 20-year-old aircraft is currently undergoing maintenance at Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport.
