US-based airline company Delta Air Lines announced that, as part of its 2025 performance, it will distribute more than 1 billion dollars in profit sharing to its employees. The announced figure was recorded as one of the highest payments in the company’s history.

According to a statement made by Delta Air Lines, employees will receive a total of 1.3 billion dollars from the company’s 2025 profits. This amount corresponds to an average of 8.9 percent of employees’ annual earnings.

Equivalent to an Average of Four Weeks’ Salary

The airline stated that the profit-sharing payment is expected to be at the level of approximately four weeks’ salary on average for employees. The payment is made under Delta’s profit-sharing model, which directly includes employees in the company’s financial success.

How Does the Profit-Sharing Model Work?

According to Delta’s current profit-sharing system:

  • The company shares 10 percent of the first 2.5 billion dollars in profit,
  • and 20 percent of profits exceeding 2.5 billion dollars with its employees.

Thanks to this structure, the 1.3 billion dollar payment announced for 2025 became one of the highest profit-sharing distributions in Delta’s history.

5 Billion Dollars in Profit Sharing Over the Last Three Years

Delta Air Lines has continued its employee-focused approach in recent years. According to the company’s statement, the total profit shared with employees since 2022 has exceeded 5 billion dollars. This figure reinforces Delta’s position as one of the airlines with the highest employee profit-sharing levels in the industry.
