Turkey’s defence and aerospace industry achieved a record surge in exports in February 2025. The sector grew by 44% compared to the same period last year, soaring from $300 million to $434 million, marking a remarkable success.
29.6% Increase in the First Two Months
According to data from the Presidency of Defence Industries, the sector’s total exports in the first two months of 2025 rose by 29.6%, reaching $816 million. Thanks to its domestic and national production capabilities, Turkey has managed to strengthen its position in the global market.
Goal: Sustainable Growth in High-Value Products
The President of Defence Industries, Prof. Dr. Haluk Görgün, emphasised the aim of increasing the share of high-tech, high-value-added products in exports. Prof. Dr. Görgün stated, “Thanks to the uninterrupted international cooperation efforts led by our presidency and the cost-effective, high-tech solutions offered by our companies, our sector is now capable of exporting not just to one region but to all corners of the world.”
In the upcoming period, the focus will be on supporting both large-scale companies and SMEs to increase the number of exporting firms and make exports a sustainable driving force for the entire industry. Görgün added, “I congratulate our presidency staff, companies, SMEs, engineers, and all sector stakeholders who contributed to this great success. Our defence industry will continue to rise.”
