French defence and aerospace company Dassault Aviation has completed the production of the 300th Rafale fighter jet just a few days ago. This milestone reflects the operational, industrial, and commercial success of this unmatched multirole combat aircraft, renowned for its versatility and proven operational efficiency.
400 French Companies Involved in the Rafale Programme
Conducted under the supervision of the Directorate General of Armaments (DGA) and managed by Dassault Aviation’s engineering teams, the Rafale programme brings together around 400 French companies. Thanks to the critical technologies developed and the export achievements attained, Rafale has become one of the cornerstones of France’s industrial and military sovereignty.
233 of 533 Orders Awaiting Delivery
To date, a total of 533 Rafale aircraft have been firmly ordered by France and eight export customer countries. Of these, 233 units are yet to be delivered. To meet the growing global demand, Dassault Aviation aims to increase its production rate to four aircraft per month, reducing delivery times and accelerating customers’ fleet modernisation processes.
A Track Record of Operational Success
The first Rafale units entered service with the French Navy in 2004 and with the French Air Force in 2006. Export deliveries began in 2015 with the shipment to Egypt. Since then, Rafale has been actively serving in the air forces of several countries across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
