Mehmet Demiroğlu, General Manager of Turkish Aerospace Industries Inc. (TUSAŞ), announced that exciting developments regarding HÜRJET’s engine will be revealed very soon. Speaking to journalists at TUSAŞ’s facilities in Kahramankazan, Demiroğlu made striking statements about the company’s visionary projects.
“We are expecting good news today or tomorrow regarding HÜRJET’s engine,”
Demiroğlu said, noting that a critical threshold has been reached in the national jet trainer program.
National Power Line: KAAN, HÜRJET, GÖKBEY, ATAK
Demiroğlu emphasized that with platforms like KAAN, AKSUNGUR, ANKA, HÜRJET, HÜRKUŞ, GÖKBEY, and ATAK helicopters on the production line, TUSAŞ is advancing Turkey’s defense and aerospace capabilities.
Currently, 83 ANKA UAVs and 92 ATAK helicopters are actively in service.
TUSAŞ’s revenue target for 2024 is set at $4.3 billion.
Export and NATO Goals for HÜRJET
So far, the Turkish Air Force has placed an order for 16 HÜRJET aircraft.
An agreement planned with Spain could open the door to NATO integration.
“This year, we aim to sign contracts for over 100 HÜRJET units,”
Demiroğlu stated.
KAAN Timeline Confirmed: Delivery in 2029
Demiroğlu provided a clear schedule for the national combat aircraft KAAN:

Full-scale deliveries to the Turkish Air Force to begin in 2029
High Altitude Success with ANKA-3 and Indigenous Engines
ANKA-3 is scheduled to enter mass production in 2026.
Powered by the indigenous PD170 engine, the aircraft has reached an altitude of 40,000 feet.
The GÖKBEY helicopter’s engine is expected to become operational within 1–2 years.
Mass Production and Revenue Targets Until 2034
Demiroğlu announced TUSAŞ’s long-term production and revenue goals for 2034:
