Bringing together amateur golfers from England and Scotland in Belek, Turkey’s leading golf destination, the international amateur golf series Race to Belek 2025 came to an unforgettable close with the Grand Final held at Gloria Golf Resort on 29 October. Organised in collaboration with Corendon Airlines and Kaden Group and hosted by Gloria Hotels & Resorts, the tournament offered a unique experience where high-level competition and camaraderie met in the world of amateur golf.

Organised by Corendon Airlines, one of Turkey’s and Europe’s leading airline brands, to mark its 20th anniversary, the Race to Belek tournament offered golf enthusiasts an unforgettable experience filled with excitement, competition and friendship. The tournament, created in collaboration with Kaden Group, began in June–July 2025 at eight regional golf clubs across England. Amateur golfers competed to represent their clubs and earn the right to participate in the final in Belek.
Finalists were treated to an all-expenses-paid, exclusive golf experience including direct Corendon Airlines flights to Antalya, accommodation at a five-star hotel, and access to Belek’s world-class golf facilities — recognised as one of Europe’s premier golf destinations.

Carl Rushton Crowned Champion
The Grand Final took place at the prestigious Old Course of Gloria Golf Resort. Just as throughout the tournament, the finalists showcased their exceptional skills, sportsmanship, and consistent performances.
Carl Rushton, a member of Formby Hall Golf Club (Merseyside), secured the 2025 championship title thanks to his composed and consistent play on the Old Course. Rushton’s impressive performance throughout the tournament was also crowned with the Nearest to the Pin award.

“We are proud to support amateur golf and offer athletes an unforgettable international experience”
Commenting on the tournament, Yıldıray Karaer, Chairman of the Board of Corendon Airlines, said:
“As Corendon Airlines, we have supported various branches of sport since our establishment. In line with this vision, we see the Race to Belek tournament, realised in cooperation with Kaden Group, as not only a reflection of our commitment to golf but also a symbol of the strong ties between Turkey and the UK. We take great pride in supporting amateur golf and offering athletes an unforgettable international experience. I sincerely congratulate all the finalists, especially Carl Rushton, who claimed the championship with his outstanding performance. We are already looking forward to welcoming next year’s participants to Belek.”

“We are looking forward to hosting an even larger event next year”
Deniz Gürlersan, General Manager of Kaden Golf, added:
“This year’s Race to Belek perfectly embodied the spirit of amateur golf by combining competition, friendship, and a shared passion for the game. Bringing the finalists from the UK together with Belek’s world-class golfing atmosphere was truly a special experience for us. Carl Rushton’s victory was a thoroughly deserved success.
