Türkiye’s and Europe’s leading airline brand Corendon Airlines reached 10 million passengers annually with its flight network covering 170 cities in 45 countries in 2025, the year it celebrated its 20th anniversary. Announcing its 2025 flight data offering striking insights into passenger experiences, the airline also shared its expanding operations in European markets, its sponsorship activities contributing to the world of sports, and its sustainable growth targets supported by brand investments.

Presenting its flight performance in figures in its 20th year, Corendon Airlines shared passenger data that left its mark on 2025 with entertaining and striking insights. From distances covered in the sky to seat preferences, from meal orders to baggage records, these data reveal Corendon Airlines’ approach centred on passenger habits and the travel experience. Alongside the announced data, the airline also conveys its strategy in European markets and its priorities for the coming period.

A distance equivalent to circling the world 193 times was covered!

Antalya, where one of Corendon Airlines’ head offices is located, became the starting point of the most frequently flown routes. From Antalya, Corendon aircraft flew so often to Düsseldorf, Cologne and Hanover that pilots came to know the routes by heart. So much so that Corendon aircraft covered a total distance equivalent to circling the world exactly 193 times!

A restaurant serving in the sky!

Passengers who felt hungry during flights enjoyed the delicious options on the menu. On an Antalya–London flight, one passenger placed four meal orders, leaving nothing to chance when it came to appetite. Berlin–Antalya flights, on the other hand, resembled a restaurant serving in the sky this year; meal purchases were five times higher than on other routes. Throughout the year, the most preferred meals were Sandwich and Noodle, which stood out on the championship tour.

Baggage record

One of the most important stages of travel is preparing luggage. Some passengers are more meticulous in this regard: on Corendon’s Las Palmas–Nuremberg flight, one passenger completely eliminated the question “Did I forget something when leaving home?” with 250 kg of baggage.

Seats were taken even before boarding

Travelling in a favourite seat is indispensable for many passengers. On Corendon’s Düsseldorf–Rhodes flights, seats were taken even before boarding; window-seat dreams came true before check-in.

Selfie with the clouds guaranteed!

Among the most preferred seats by passengers, the enjoyment of the view stood out. The most purchased seats were “1A” and “2F”, guaranteeing selfies with the clouds!

A giant school bus in the sky!

Corendon Airlines ensures that young passengers and their families enjoy the best possible flight experience. In 2025, the flight with the highest number of child and infant passengers was the Antalya–Brussels flight. When 77 children came together on the same flight, the aircraft turned into a giant school bus in the sky; seatbelts fastened, laughter free!

Generations came together in the sky

Corendon Airlines offers services for the comfort of guests of all ages. In 2025, the airline’s oldest passenger proudly celebrated their 101st year, while the youngest passenger had not even completed their first month. Generations came together in the sky.

Male–female passenger distribution on flights was close

As in previous periods, the distribution of male and female passengers at Corendon Airlines in 2025 was close. Fifty-two per cent of flights consisted of male passengers and 48 per cent of female passengers. The armrest battle on board was intense; victory went to the men by a small margin.

Flew to 170 cities and 45 countries

Corendon Airlines carried its passengers to many different destinations throughout the year with 170 cities and 45 countries. On Saturday, 9 August, the busiest travel day, a total of 23,500 passengers were carried.

CORENDON AIRLINES CONTINUES ITS GROWTH IN EUROPEAN MARKETS

Having completed its 20th year of establishment in 2025, Corendon Airlines continues its growth across Europe through flight network expansion, sports sponsorships and communication activities tailored to target markets. The airline strengthens its position in Europe with operational and brand-focused investments carried out in key markets such as Poland, Germany and the UK.

Destination diversity increases in the Polish market

In Poland, one of Corendon Airlines’ most dynamic markets in Europe, Antalya flights departing from Warsaw and Katowice continued throughout the year, while capacity increases and new destination planning were made for the 2026 summer season in line with growing demand. Direct flights to Heraklion to be launched from Warsaw and Katowice were among the important steps increasing destination diversity in the Polish market. In addition to its flight network, Corendon Airlines also takes an active role in the market through sports and event sponsorships, signing projects that bring sport and travel together through collaborations with Górnik Zabrze Football Club and the Polish Golf Federation. Support given to the Golf Trips Belek 2025 event organised in Belek became an international reflection of this approach.

A sports tourism push in the UK market

In the UK market, 2025 was recorded as a period in which sports- and experience-oriented communication came to the fore for Corendon Airlines. While the main sponsorship collaboration with Hull City, one of the long-established clubs of English football, supported brand awareness, British golf enthusiasts were brought together with Türkiye’s leading golf destinations through Race to Belek golf tournaments organised in different cities throughout the year. Holding the final stage of the tournaments in Belek reinforced continuity in the focus on sports tourism. These activities are planned to continue with the same consistency in 2026.

Focus on flight network and destination diversity in Germany

In the German market, a growth strategy focused on flight network and destination diversity was pursued in 2025. In outbound flights from Germany, alongside Türkiye, services to touristic destinations in Egypt came to the fore, while direct flights launched from Germany to Jeddah on the Middle East route offered an important alternative for Hajj and Umrah travel, particularly with connections to Mecca. In addition to communication activities supporting this operational expansion, the airline also supported the theme of active living and travel within a limited and complementary framework through its sponsorship with Bike Aid, which operates in the cycling discipline in Germany. Corendon Airlines aims to continue its stable, flight-network-focused growth in the German market in 2026.

Multi-faceted sponsorship support for sport

Standing out with its support for different areas of sport, Corendon Airlines continued its stadium naming sponsorship of Antalyaspor under the name “Corendon Airlines Park” in 2025. The airline also continued its support for another important regional club, Corendon Alanyaspor, contributing to the development of sport.

EuroLeague excitement in Antalya for the first time

EuroLeague, Europe’s most prestigious basketball organisation, met sports fans in Antalya for the first time this year. The match played between Anadolu Efes and FC Bayern Munich took place on 14 November 2025 at Antalya Sports Hall under the hosting of Corendon Tourism Group, with the support of the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports and the Antalya Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. The match, played in a 10,000-seat arena, offered sports fans in Antalya an international-level basketball experience.

Meaningful social responsibility collaboration with Anadolu Efes

Corendon Airlines signed an exemplary collaboration in the field of social responsibility with Anadolu Efes Sports Club, which it sponsors. Within the scope of the Gloria Cup held in Antalya between 6–15 September 2025, Anadolu Efes hosted students of ZİÇEV (Foundation for the Education and Protection of Children with Intellectual Disabilities) at training sessions in cooperation with Corendon Tourism Group. The club had also implemented the EuroLeague One Team social responsibility project for the 2024–2025 season in Antalya in cooperation with Corendon Tourism Group, ZİÇEV and Muratpaşa Municipality.

Export, financial and corporate success

Corendon Airlines reinforced its leadership in service exports by winning championship awards in two separate categories in the 20th year of the Turquality® programme. The company, which took its place on the “Türkiye’s Top 1000 Exporters” list announced within the scope of the 32nd General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), ranked 8th among the top 10 most successful companies in service exports. While Corendon Airlines rose to 196th place on the Capital 500 list, it also ranked 146th in the “Fortune 500 Türkiye 2024” research, once again demonstrating its strong financial performance and stable growth.

By carrying its operational and communication gains achieved in 2025 into 2026, Corendon Airlines will continue to pursue a sustainable, stable and market-focused growth model across Europe, particularly in Poland, the UK and Germany.

Yıldıray Karaer: “We define growth not only by numbers, but by a sustainable vision that expands our sphere of influence”

Commenting on the subject, Yıldıray Karaer, Chairman of the Board and CEO of Corendon Airlines, said: “Our 2025 flight data clearly demonstrate not only Corendon Airlines’ operational strength, but also the importance it places on passenger experience and the added value it provides to tourism. Enriched with enjoyable details, these data constitute a concrete reflection of the trust we have built with our passengers and our stable growth over 20 years. In the coming period, we aim to carry this strong foundation forward through our expanding flight network across different European markets, our sports- and experience-oriented sponsorships, and our communication investments tailored to target markets. As Corendon Airlines, we define growth not only by numbers, but by a sustainable vision that expands our sphere of influence.”
