Once Again at the Top in the Top 1000 Exporters List
Corendon Airlines, known as the “Pioneer Airline,” has once again distinguished itself in the “Turkey’s Top 1000 Exporters” research conducted by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM). The airline has proven its success by ranking among the top 10 companies with the highest service exports.
Export Champions Award Ceremony
The 31st General Assembly of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) and the Export Champions Award Ceremony took place on June 8 at the Haliç Congress Center. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan attended the ceremony and awarded the champion exporters. Among 150,000 exporters, Corendon Airlines made it into the top 1,000 and joined the ranks of top service exporters alongside firms like Turkish Airlines, Pegasus, SunExpress, TAV, and IGA. Additionally, Corendon Airlines stands out as the third airline bringing the most passengers to Antalya Airport.
Yıldıray Karaer: “We Continue to Contribute to Our Country’s Exports”
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan presented the award to Corendon Airlines’ Chairman and CEO, Yıldıray Karaer. Karaer expressed his pride in being named among Turkey’s Top 1000 Exporters once again and representing the country successfully in the export market. He stated, “We carried over 4 million passengers last year as Corendon Airlines. Through our tour operator, Corendon Travel, we brought over 750,000 tourists from the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark with package tours in 2023. With the employment we created for 3,700 people, we continue to contribute to our country’s exports and reduction of the current account deficit. We will keep working to develop tourism and attract more tourists to our country with our ongoing and future investments and innovations. Thank you once again for recognizing Corendon with this valuable award.”

The Rise of Corendon
Founded in 2004, Corendon has grown significantly over the years to become a tourism group that includes an airline, incoming agency, and hotels operating in Europe, Turkey, and the Caribbean. With a fleet of 32 aircraft, Corendon Airlines transports millions of tourists to Turkey each year.
Turkey Breaks Export Record
According to the information shared during TİM’s 31st General Assembly, Turkey achieved a new export record in 2023 with $355 billion. Indicators for this year suggest that the records will continue. In the first five months of 2024, Turkey’s goods and services exports increased by 12%. Alongside a decrease in imports, the current account deficit reduced by 47% compared to last year.
