Corendon Airlines, one of Europe’s leading leisure carriers, marked its 20th anniversary with a spectacular Gala Night at the Cosmos Theatre in Antalya. Held under the theme “20 Happy Years of Flying – 20 Happy Years of Travel,” the event brought together distinguished guests from the aviation and tourism industries, as well as from government, business, sports, politics, and media.
The night, hosted by Başak Koç, saw attendance from notable figures including Antalya Governor Hulusi Şahin, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Muhittin Böcek, Antalya Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Yusuf Hacısüleyman, as well as Acun Ilıcalı, Yılmaz Vural, and Ertem Şener.
Launched in 2005 with the motto “Holiday Airline,” Corendon Airlines has pioneered many innovations and delivered a comfortable and inspiring travel experience for global passengers. Celebrating two decades of growth and strategic partnerships, the airline hosted this memorable evening to honour its achievements.
A Night of High Interest
The gala, hosted by Corendon Airlines Chairman of the Board Yıldıray Karaer and Corendon Tourism Group Co-Founder Atılay Uslu, was held on the evening of Thursday, May 22, at the Cosmos Theatre in Antalya. The event drew wide attention, welcoming guests from partner countries such as Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Egypt, the UK, and Austria, as well as numerous representatives from government institutions, tourism, business, sports, politics, and media.

In his opening speech, Yıldıray Karaer reflected on Corendon’s journey:
“Twenty years ago, my partner Atılay and I made the decision to found Corendon Airlines during a car ride from Brussels to Amsterdam. Our aim wasn’t just to build an airline, but to create a holiday destination in the sky, combining safety, comfort, and heartfelt service. Today, we take immense pride in how far that dream has come.”

He expressed heartfelt thanks to all business partners, employees—whom he called the heart of the company—and the international passengers who choose Corendon:

A Star-Studded Celebration
The gala featured dazzling performances, with the stage graced by artists representing Corendon’s destinations, each embodying the spirit of their cities. Spanish star Nalaya Brown, acclaimed percussionist Yusuf Özer and the All Star Team, French-Lebanese singer and dancer Carolina Karam, The Big Band, Hunkar Dance Show, and energetic performer Ivi Adamou offered guests a visual and auditory feast. The night ended with an after-party performance by Juni Juliet.

The culinary theme of the night mirrored the airline’s destination map. Guests were treated to a dinner that showcased flavours from across Corendon’s network. Each dish was crafted to reflect the tastes of a different destination, offering a unique gastronomic journey around the world.
