Following the end of armed clashes in Tripoli, the capital of Libya, flight operations at Mitiga International Airport have returned to normal. The Libyan Civil Aviation Authority announced that, following a statement from the Ministry of Interior declaring that “security and stability have been restored”, air navigation services at the airport continue uninterrupted, and airlines that had previously cancelled flights have now resumed operations.

Recent clashes in Tripoli between the Stability Support Apparatus and forces affiliated with the Ministry of Defence briefly disrupted public order, prompting many airlines to suspend their flights due to security concerns. However, thanks to swift intervention and increased security measures, stability has been quickly re-established in the capital.
Prime Minister Dbeibeh: “State Authority Has Been Restored”
Libyan Prime Minister Abdulhamid Dbeibeh congratulated members of the army and police for their role in restoring state authority following the events in the capital. The Ministry of Defence also announced that the military operation in the Abu Salim area had been successfully concluded.
Ministry of Interior Calls for Return to Normal Life
In an official statement issued this morning, the Libyan Ministry of Interior declared that security in Tripoli had been re-established. The statement called on public employees and citizens to return to their daily routines and duties. It was also noted that the University of Tripoli and other public institutions, which had temporarily suspended activities the previous day, had begun to resume operations gradually.
Mitiga Airport Returns to Full Capacity
Mitiga International Airport, which had experienced short-term flight cancellations due to the recent events, has resumed its normal flight schedule. Officials from the Civil Aviation Authority confirmed that no damage or disruption had occurred in the navigation systems and that flights were continuing as planned.
