China has showcased its J-15 class fighter jets, designed specifically for aircraft carriers, for the first time. During the Airshow China event held in Zhuhai, Guangdong province, the “J-15T” and “J-15D” models performed demonstration flights.
Showcasing Capabilities in Flight Demonstrations
Cay Yongtao from the Chinese Navy highlighted the advanced flight and weapon systems of the J-15 jets, emphasizing their exceptional maneuverability. During the demonstrations, the aircraft performed complex maneuvers, including reverse commands and mid-air refueling, captivating the audience.
Developed for the Fujian Aircraft Carrier
The new J-15 models are set to play a key role in China’s Fujian fleet, equipped with an advanced electromagnetic catapult system.
Taking place from 12–17 November, Airshow China showcases China’s progress in military and civilian aviation technology. This year’s exhibition features over 1,000 companies from 47 countries and regions. The biennial event serves as a platform for China to present its latest innovations in defense and aviation to the global audience.
