China Airlines orders four 777-8Fs from Boeing, becoming the first new customer in two years. The new planes will enhance efficiency in cargo operations.
Taiwan-based airline China Airlines is preparing to order four 777-8F freighters from Boeing.
China Airlines will become Boeing’s first new customer in over two years for the wide-body freighter currently under development.
The airline has a significant history in cargo transportation. It was among the largest operators of the 747-400F fleet with 21 aircraft. To modernize and strengthen its cargo fleet, the company introduced its first 777F model into operations in late 2020.
The newly ordered 777-8Fs are expected to enhance global logistics operations by offering improved fuel efficiency and greater capacity.
China Airlines and Boeing Collaboration
China Airlines has a long-standing partnership with Boeing. This investment in next-generation freighters not only supports the airline’s environmental sustainability goals but also boosts its competitiveness in the air cargo industry.
