Two separate plane accidents occurred on the same day at Boston Logan Airport! American Airlines and Frontier planes, as well as JetBlue and Cape Air planes, collided. Although no injuries were reported, flights were delayed. Details are in our report.
Boston Logan International Airport experienced a chaotic day on Monday with two separate plane accidents happening just hours apart. The incidents occurred during a busy holiday travel period, further complicating the situation at the airport.
American Airlines and Frontier Planes Collide
According to local news channel WCVB, the first incident occurred when an American Airlines jet collided with the wing of a parked Frontier Airlines plane while taxiing toward the gate.
The American Airlines plane had just landed from London Heathrow, while the Frontier plane was preparing to depart for Dallas Fort Worth.

Flight Cancellations and Investigations
A statement by Massport confirmed that passengers and crew from both planes were evacuated as a safety precaution. The Frontier flight to Dallas was canceled. Fortunately, no injuries were reported on either plane.

Hours Later: A Second Accident Involving JetBlue and Cape Air
Within hours of the first incident, a second collision occurred. A Cape Air plane arriving from Nantucket collided with a JetBlue plane being towed by a vehicle.
The Cape Air aircraft carried two pilots and three passengers, while the JetBlue plane was empty. No injuries were reported, but the Cape Air pilots were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Passengers noted significant damage to the front section of the Cape Air plane.
JetBlue assigned another plane for affected passengers, delaying the flight by three hours.
FAA and Airlines Launch Investigations
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the airlines have launched investigations into both accidents.
