The air bridge between Central Asia and Turkey is growing stronger. Centrum Air, Uzbekistan’s largest private airline, has launched its scheduled flights to Istanbul Airport. The inaugural flight was welcomed with a ceremony at Istanbul Airport.

Centrum Air will operate regular flights on the Istanbul–Tashkent route four times a week. Flights will be scheduled on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. The airline aims to further strengthen tourism, trade, and cultural ties between Central Asia and Turkey.

Inaugural Flight Welcomed with Ceremony

The first flight from Tashkent to Istanbul was welcomed by representatives from İGA, the operator of Istanbul Airport, and Bilen Aviation, Centrum Air’s representative in Turkey. A welcoming ceremony was held on the apron for the Centrum Air aircraft upon its arrival at Istanbul Airport.

Tashkent–Trabzon Route Also Launching

Centrum Air’s operations in Turkey will not be limited to Istanbul. The airline will also launch direct flights between Tashkent and Trabzon, operating once a week. This new route will ease access between the Black Sea region and Central Asia, providing a boost to regional tourism.

A New Alternative for Turkey–Central Asia Travel

Centrum Air’s flights to Istanbul and Trabzon offer a new and competitive alternative for both Uzbek travellers and passengers from Turkey heading to Central Asia. With its comfort, affordable pricing strategy, and extensive flight network, the airline aims to quickly gain a strong foothold in the Turkish market.
