Turkey’s young airline brand, AJet, continues to expand its flight network in Central Asia. The company successfully operated its first flight from Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport to Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan, on Monday, March 24, 2025.
First Flight Marked with a Ceremony
Before AJet’s inaugural flight to Bishkek, a special ceremony was held at Sabiha Gökçen Airport. The event was attended by AJet’s General Manager, Kerem Sarp, along with officials from AJet and the airport management. As part of the celebration, passengers on the first flight were treated to special refreshments.
After a flight lasting approximately five hours, AJet’s aircraft was welcomed with a ceremony at Manas International Airport in Bishkek.
Istanbul-Bishkek Flights to Increase to Five Times a Week
AJet initially scheduled direct flights between Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen and Manas International Airport four times a week. However, starting in April 2025, the frequency will increase to five times a week.
This new route is expected to boost tourism and trade potential between Turkey and Kyrgyzstan.
AJet’s International Network is Rapidly Expanding
Following its first flight on March 31, 2024, AJet has been growing rapidly. With the addition of the Istanbul-Bishkek route, the airline has now incorporated its 15th international destination into its network.
