British Airways Suspends Flights to Israel Until End of July Over Security Concerns

UK-based airline British Airways has announced the suspension of all flights to Israel until the end of July due to rocket attacks launched by Yemen’s Houthi forces targeting Israel and its airports.

Security Concerns Take Priority

In a statement, the airline emphasised that the decision was made in response to the current security situation in Israel and the heightened threat perception in the region. British Airways underlined that the safety of its passengers and crew remains its top priority.

International Airlines Also Affected

Ongoing conflict in the Middle East over the past year has led several international airlines to temporarily halt flights to Israel. In particular, following a recent Houthi missile strike near Ben Gurion Airport, many carriers implemented similar precautionary measures.

Flights to Resume Gradually

Meanwhile, European Airlines, Air France, Ryanair, and ITA plan to resume their flights to Israel next week. LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa Group, Air Baltic, Bulgaria Air, and Iberia are expected to follow the week after.
