A British Airways crew member has been arrested in Singapore on allegations of raping a fellow flight attendant.
According to a report by The Sun, British Airways management dispatched a special team to Singapore to investigate the incident. Company officials have confirmed that a thorough investigation is ongoing.
Under Singaporean law, individuals convicted of rape involving victims over the age of 14 can face up to 20 years in prison.
The accused crew member is said to have been with British Airways for a long time. Singaporean authorities have stated that the investigation is being conducted confidentially.
An official statement on the matter is expected in the coming days.
