A passenger aircraft targeted by a bomb threat landed safely at Kuwait International Airport. Following the incident, airport and security units were placed on high alert.
In a statement from Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation, it was confirmed that the aircraft landed successfully after the threat was received, all passengers were evacuated, and no injuries or casualties occurred.
Agency spokesperson Abdullah Al-Rajhi stated that passengers underwent medical checks and were moved to a secure, isolated area. He added that their condition is currently stable. Al-Rajhi also noted that the aircraft is being thoroughly inspected by bomb disposal units and that security sweeps are ongoing.
Officials stressed that there were no disruptions to flight operations due to the threat and that air traffic at Kuwait International Airport remains unaffected.
The individual who made the threat has been taken into custody by security forces, and an investigation is ongoing.
