A passenger plane en route from Norway to the Netherlands skidded off the runway into a grassy area during an emergency landing. No injuries were reported.
Statement from KLM
According to a statement from the Dutch national airline KLM, the Boeing 737-800 aircraft had departed from Oslo Airport and was heading to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. However, due to a loud noise heard during the flight, the plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Sandefjord Airport.
During the landing, the plane veered off the runway into a grassy field. It was confirmed that all 176 passengers and 6 crew members on board were unharmed.
