The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) announced on Wednesday that they successfully downed a Turkish-made Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) near the Karakozak Bridge north of Raqqa.
According to the SDF Media Center, the incident occurred at 1:00 PM local time. Their statement read, “Today at 1:00 PM, our fighters successfully shot down a Turkish Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicle in the Karakozak Bridge area.”
SDF Accuses Turkey of Ceasefire Violations
The SDF accused Turkey and its allied groups of repeatedly violating the US-brokered ceasefire agreement. The statement specifically highlighted attacks on strategic locations such as Kobani’s outskirts, the Tishrin Dam, and Ayn Issa.

Tensions Escalate in Northern Syria
The US-brokered ceasefire agreement aimed to establish stability in northern Syria. However, ongoing mutual accusations between Turkey and the SDF continue to keep tensions high in the region.
