Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) has announced that it will commence direct flights between Baku and Çukurova International Airport from 15 June. The flights, scheduled twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays, aim to support tourism and business travel in the region.
In a statement by AZAL, it was highlighted that Çukurova International Airport is close to the major Turkish cities of Adana and Mersin, renowned for their archaeological treasures, natural beauty, and historical heritage. The unique holiday opportunities offered by Adana and Mersin indicate that these flights will make a significant contribution to tourism.
The new route will further facilitate travel between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, strengthening trade, cultural, and tourism ties between the two nations.
