AVA Airlines, established in 2023 in the Islamic Republic of Iran, conducted its first flight from Tehran Imam Khomeini Airport (IKA) to Istanbul Airport (IST). Turkey has become one of the top destinations for Iranian tourists, with the number of airlines flying from Iran to Turkey reaching 11 this year.
Busy Iranian Flights from Istanbul Airport
In July, over 1,230 flights were operated from Istanbul Airport to various destinations in Iran. As of 2023, the number of passengers transported between Iran and Istanbul Airport reached 1.6 million.
AVA Airlines’ Fleet
AVA Airlines’ fleet consists of five aircraft: three Boeing 737-500s, one Boeing 737-300, and one Airbus 310-300. The airline is set to play a significant role in air travel between Iran and Turkey.
