Armenia Averts Aviation Collapse Under ICAO Pressure

Armenia has addressed 41 deficiencies in its aviation sector following an inspection by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Kristine Ghalechyan, announced this development during a meeting at the National Assembly of Armenia. Ghalechyan stated that a comprehensive action plan had been devised to rectify shortcomings in areas such as aviation accident investigations, and a petition regarding these efforts had been submitted to the European Union.

She highlighted that significant steps had been taken to ensure compliance with international standards during ICAO inspections and that the 41 identified deficiencies had been rectified, strengthening the sector. Ghalechyan added that they are currently awaiting a response regarding the measures undertaken.
