ARCA Defence, operating in the Sungurlu District Organised Industrial Zone (OIZ) in Çorum, continues to expand its presence in the defence and aviation sectors. The company has strengthened its position in the industry through recent acquisitions, announcing that it has incorporated MC Aviation and TMA Defence, Turkey’s largest cartridge factory, into its structure.
MC Aviation Acquisition
ARCA Defence has acquired MC Aviation, owned by Hüseyin Başaran, Chairman of Başaran Investment Holding. Established in 2012, MC Aviation provides private jet chartering, aircraft maintenance, and hangar services in the luxury air transport sector. Operating from a state-of-the-art 8,500-square-metre facility in the Private Hangars Area of Istanbul Atatürk Airport, the company is renowned as one of Turkey’s most prestigious aviation hubs, featuring private passenger lounges, office spaces, and expansive aircraft maintenance hangars.
Turkey’s Largest Cartridge Factory Now Under ARCA Defence
As one of Turkey’s leading defence companies, ARCA Defence has also acquired TMA Defence. Home to one of the world’s largest ballistic testing centres built to NATO standards, TMA Defence boasts an annual production capacity of 360 million cartridges. With this acquisition, ARCA Defence has significantly enhanced its ammunition manufacturing capacity and expanded its product range.
Among the Top 5 Exporters
With $600 million in exports in 2024, ARCA Defence ranked among Turkey’s top five exporters in the defence and aviation sectors. The company aims to bolster its global market presence through these new acquisitions. In a previous move, ARCA Defence had also integrated Kalıpsan A.Ş., a manufacturer of weapons, ammunition, and pressure vessels in Kırıkkale, and made significant strides in artillery shell body production.
